All are welcome here!
We are a Christian community worshipping together
and working with others, locally and globally, to serve those in need, to care for the earth, and to work for justice.
We are partners in ministry with the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.
Worship With Us In-Person or Online Every Sunday at 10am
Your online donation will be submitted thru Quality Computing Works who forward it directly, with no fees, to Christ Lutheran Church, Waterloo.
Sunday April 14, 2024 Christ Lutheran Church congregation would like to celebrate the work of our own Keith Myra, as he retires from his position, as Synod Treasurer.
Chili will be provided by some of your favourite cooks! Please bring your favourite dessert to share, bring your appetite and bring your best wishes for Keith!
Hopefully you have cleaned out your closets and drawers and have gathered and laundered all the spring and summer items you wish to donate to our friends at the Working Centre and the Children’s Needs Distribution Centre! Donation boxes have been set out in the narthex of the church to accept your donations. Men’s and Women’s practical t-shirts, shorts, light long pants, new socks, new undergarments, jackets will all be accepted, as well as clean, gently used Baby, Toddler and Children’s clothing in all sizes. Donations of toiletries would also be very welcome by the agencies affiliated with the Working Centre.
We began our collection on Easter Sunday and will continue April 7 and 14. That way, the items will be
available for when the weather warms up on a more consistent basis.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Sunday Morning Kids Group
All kids are welcomed! If parents and kids so choose, kids may also remain in worship on any Sunday – that’s perfectly fine as well. (Check out the activity boxes for kids in worship.)
When Kids Group is on, following a 1st (Apr 7th) and 3rd Sunday (Apr 21st) of the month pattern, kids first gather with their parents at the beginning of worship in the sanctuary. Then, following a short kids’ chat and song at the beginning of worship, children are invited to follow the group and teacher out to the church hall for your time together. A bible story, activities and fun crafts are part of this time together for our young friends!
A reminder to kids and parents: when your child and their group come into worship for Holy Communion, you all are invited to partake in the sacrament. Please remain in worship to the end of the service, after which everyone can enjoy visiting and treats in the church hall.
Thank you to our teachers and assistants who host these gatherings.
Meditation Group Meetings
Experience praying in the Christian meditation tradition. We learn best by just starting and doing! The rest of the teaching and learning will follow. Let me know if you’re interested in joining. All are welcome, both first-timers and practiced meditator.
