All are welcome here!

We are a Christian community worshipping together and working with others, locally and globally, to serve those in need, to care for the earth, and to work for justice.

We are partners in ministry with the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.

Worship With Us In-Person or Online Every Sunday at 10am

Your online donation will be submitted thru Quality Computing Works who forward it directly, with no fees, to Christ Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Thanksgiving Offering

Thank you in advance for your generous, over-and-above offering this Thanksgiving, being directed to the Waterloo Region Food Bank (50%), and the church’s operating fund (50%). Special Thanksgiving offering envelopes are available on the table in the sanctuary aisle.

Fall Clothing Drive

The leaves are changing colours, the days are cooling off, and once again, it’s time to cull what we have in our closets and drawers in preparation for the Fall Clothing drive. And again, we do this in support of our friends who use the services of the Working Centre, and clients of the Children’s Needs Distribution
Centre. Both groups are in need of warm clothing to give to those in need.

For the Working Centre, men’s and women’s sweaters, sweatshirts, long-sleeved t-shirts, pants of all
sorts, coats and jackets are needed. Gifts of new socks and underwear are also appreciated. If you think
an item may be too ‘dressy’, donate it anyway. It will go to the thrift shop, Worth A Second Look, that
supports the programs run by the Working Centre.

For the Children’s Needs Distribution Centre, which is run out of the Highland Road Baptist Church, any
gently used warm clothing, snowsuits, jackets, leggings and boots in all sizes, baby to teens, are needed,
especially things for girls and newborns. Their client numbers have doubled in the past few years and
they have trouble keeping their boxes filled.

We do ask, please, that all donations be freshly laundered. Donation boxes will be placed outside the Nursery beginning on November 2nd thru the 23rd.

Kid’s Group 1st and 3rd Sundays

Hey families and kids, a reminder that Kids’ Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. There’ll be a group for you meeting in the Roy Grosz Hall following the Gathering Hymn in worship. Activities, learning, crafts and stories will be shared, after which you’ll return to worship to join with everyone for Holy Communion! Thank you to our volunteer teachers for helping create this fun space for exploring our faith together. Keep watching the newsletter for updates and information.
