Kid’s Group Sunday Schedule
All children are welcomed! As an option, children may also remain with their families in worship on any Sunday – that’s perfectly fine as well. Check out the activity boxes for kids in worship.
Children first gather with their family at the beginning of worship in the sanctuary. Then, following a short teaching and song at the beginning of worship, children are invited to follow the group and teacher out to the church hall for their time together. A bible story, activities and fun crafts are part of this time together for our young friends!
A reminder to families: following Kids Group in the Roy Grosz Hall, everyone is invited to return to the sanctuary to partake in Holy Communion with the congregation. Please remain in worship to the end of the service, after which everyone can enjoy visiting and treats back in the church hall.
Thank you to all our teachers and assistants who host these gatherings. Kids Group happens every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month:
- March 16
- April 6, 20
- May 4, 18
- June 1,15
You’re Welcomed to Join the Meditation Group
Prayer is at the heart of Christian practice and discipleship, allowing connection with God and encounter with Christ to energize and animate our loving and just action in our lives and world today. Meditation is just one form of prayer, already practiced by followers of Jesus in the early centuries. Read about it here https://wccm.org/
Carve out space in your life to meet regularly in community with others to pray together, and nurture your connection with the divine in order to strengthen your loving Christ-like actions in the world around you. The Meditation Group meets every Tuesday at 12:15 – 1 pm. Meeting times alternate weekly between online (Zoom) and in-person (at Christ Lutheran, 445 Anndale Rd., or St. Columba Anglican, corner of Lincoln and Mayfield Rds., Waterloo). For more information, and to receive the Zoom link, contact Pastor David at dmalinachurch@gmail.com.
- March 18 – Zoom
- March 25 – in person at Christ lutheran
