All are welcome here!

Christ Lutheran Church strives to be a caring, innovative, and spiritually vibrant Christian Community.

Reopening the Church Building

A new “Re-Opening Building Task Force” has been formed (Jim Diehl, Ron Campbell, Ken Schade, Pastor David Malina). We’re not yet ready to make any firm proposals, and will take the next few weeks to monitor the regional public health situation, to wait to receive guidance from the synod office, and consider what in-person worship services and outside group rental agreements may look like once the Region permits greater numbers of people indoors. In mid-August, the Task Force will meet again, and in coordination with Church Council, will begin to draw up a plan to re-open. Stay tuned! Thank you, members and friends of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church Waterloo, for your steadfast participation, support, patience, and hopeful energy, which has helped carry us throughout this time, as we look forward to the future God is leading us towards. I’ve heard that many of you already received your second dose vaccination. This is good; thank you. I encourage everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible. We hope to create a safe place for us who hope to gather in the building as soon as possible. Let’s hold fast to the essential message of our faith, that the steadfast love of God in Christ never ends, that we are the beloved of God, and that the world does indeed see and experience this love, through us.
